libutempter0 software package provides A privileged helper for utmp/wtmp updates (runtime), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libutempter0
libutempter0 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libutempter0 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libutempter0 *
You will get with libutempter0 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
